- With his win here, Igor Costa tied Israel Sosa's record for most Regional wins by a player in a single season (three). (Sosa set the record in 2014.) Costa also became the fourth player to win six or more US Regionals, after Michael Pramawat, Ryan Sabelhaus, and Sosa.
- Griffin Pepin became the first player in history to go 0-0-9 in Day 1 Swiss at a Regional. He played Zoroark-GX/Sylveon-GX.

Player notes:
- "[Tapu Fini-GX] was insane, and I actually would not have won some of the games I did without it. Tapu Storm GX is insanely clutch."
- "In one of my games against Ahmed Ali, he went first, Elixir'd and attached to a Rockruff, and then put it Active. On my turn, I went for the Fini play and GX'd it back into his deck, wasting an Elixir and attachment from him, weakening his board, and negating the Lycanroc threat."
- "Fini was insanely good at getting rid of early pressure from a big Buzz as well. Often times, after Water Duplicates, I'd only get one or two Greninja down, and would [use Tapu Storm GX] to buy myself the turn to get into the ideal board state and just sweep."
- "I honestly didn't use Mew-EX that much, but that's more because I bricked aggressively against Buzz every time I played it... I wouldn't cut it though... Joey [Ruettiger] says it's good, so I'd keep it"
- "I most likely [would cut the Mew-EX if people continue playing heavier counts of Buzzwole FLI]. It seems like much more of a liability against those decks, but idk what I would play instead. Maybe a third Enhanced Hammer? Second Rescue Stretcher? 12th Supporter? Espeon-EX? There was nothing I ever really needed."
- "I would not run a second Starmie, a Max Potion, or a Rare Candy."
